As you work through explaining the concept, you will naturally identify problem areas that are difficult to explain in simple terms. Use this as a guide to go back to your notes and fill in the gaps in your understanding.
Once you’ve effectively explained the concept, go back, pinpoint any complicated terms, and challenge yourself to simplify it further.
Now, when should you use it? To maximize your studying efficiency, don’t use the Feynman technique for everything you study.
This technique works best for concepts that require a complex understanding of the material. It is less helpful for topics that are simple, easy to understand, or require only basic memorization.
